Politics in America
I write about public policy issues because I care about the issues, I understand the issues and what needs to be done about them.

Representative Heroux - Nice article in the Huffington Post. Thoughtful, intelligent, honest, and well said. The key to being educated, I think, is the ability to observe clearly, analyze carefully, weigh the evidence, listen judiciously, be open to all sides of the argument, and then have the courage to make a judgement. You certainly are an excellent model for my high school and college students. Thanks - Jim McD.

FROM A READER:
I was half way throught the editoral "Misusing Media and Ideology" in the Milford Daily News and I stopped to look to see who wrote this article because I thought it was well written and showing both sides of the issue...and I recognized your name....hi! .... Well, I enjoyed the article.......... I liked your explaning, or exposing, the fact that the 'trust fund' for social security which is supposed to be in a 'lock box', has already been spent....like the cigarette tax which was supposed to be used for health issues gets diverted for other pet issues....

Facts too often lost as opinions take their shape - Attleboro Sun Chronicle
FROM A READER:
Paul, Just wanted to let you know how timely and appropriate your article was, “facts too often lost as opinions take their shape” . I was trying to see which way your politics lean and could not decipher at all from your article, which was a breath of fresh air. I happen to lean pretty far one way, but both parties need to stop the politics and do what`s best for all. Thanks, JJ
FROM A READER:
I read your editorial today in the Sun Chronicle and was extremely impressed. You said a lot of things that should be common sense, but the American public has gotten so used to being spoon fed. We're constantly inundated with propaganda, but seem to have lost the ability to process it. Thanks for your insightful writing. Keep up the good work.
